Hey Kids. Yet again, I’ve lost a day of work because of rain. Although it’s not really raining now, it was when I was supposed to go to work. Besides, it’s not like much can be done for a couple of days anyway, as everything still needs to dry out. Today I have a few interesting bits of info. I signed up for some newsletters ala Lockergnome, and if you like to get newsletters, this is a good source. I’ve actually gotten newsletters from him in the past, but before he used to do it all himself, and it was an all inclusive deal. Nowadays, he has a little help, and the letters are split up into categories, so you can get exactly what you want, and none of what you don’t. I signed up for a few. There was a bit in the “web developers” letter, on good and bad content. Something you should check out if you’re in this game.

I don’t know if you’ve ever visited Fark.com, but it’s a very interesting site. I try to read it everyday. There were a couple of pieces today, that I’d like to share. First off, apparently Beer is losing it’s widespread appeal, while wine and spirits are taking up more of the market. The article makes it sound like Beer companies are running in fear from wine companies, and I find that hard to believe. I think mainly it’s because more women are drinking more often, and most of the girls I know drink “fruity drinks”, such as Bacardi Silver, or mixed drinks. Almost everyone I know drinks beer, and I don’t think that’s going to change. Still, an interesting piece.

Honestly, I miss the good ol’ days. I’m not homophobic or anything, but I miss when Homosexuality wasn’t as common in all of our media. But this, is getting ridiculous. I’ll admit, I’ve watched Queer Eye For The Straight Guy, and it’s funny to watch and laugh about, but these people take this shit too seriously. Apparently seriously enough to make a stupid spinoff, which helps out the women too. I’m all in favor for extreme makeovers for some people, christ, some of them need it. But why is it that we hold up “Queers” on a pedestal, as if normal straight people can’t help themselves? We all need that gay touch to become better people? It’s almost offensive, but then funny at the same time. Anyway, if you like queers, tune in to that.

One last thing. If you use windows media player, and you’re also a fan of car audio, check out the skins page on the player website. There’s a kenwood skin that really kicks ass. It looks just like a head unit, and has all of the same features that the stereo would, along with all of the WMP features. Good Shit.

I think that about does it for me. I’m still working on the history page and a couple of essays. Hopefully by this weekend I’ll have all of that up.
