Eleven years ago today, I started this blog. It’s since seen a name change, several focus changes, and over eleven hundred posts; this is a poor average but nonetheless I soldier on. It isn’t clear how many times blogging has “died,” but it is clear that I’m unable to stop compulsively writing about whatever I have an opinion on. It’s been a fun journey needless to say.

I live in a completely different city, talk to maybe a handful of the same people and live a very different life from what I would have imagined eleven years ago.  That isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as I am more educated at this point, believe that the city I live in is a better fit for me, and am more content with my own personal well-being than I have been in a long time. There are still improvements to be made, but I’m not the New Year’s Resolution type. Things will continue to change and if I’m writing this same post eleven more years from now, I would expect to be a different me. I hope the next eleven years are just as eventful, and I hope that I can report more successes at that time.

The past couple of days were spent helping a friend move out of town. It’s unfortunate because he’s the only friend I really had out here but thankfully he’s not so far away I can’t still visit, it will just be less often. Anyway, as a result I’m rather beat, and I realize that I haven’t put out the newest podcast yet either. We’re going to record tomorrow but it’s a possibility that it won’t get posted until Sunday. The school break is over so I’m back to that grindstone, so there might be a little bit of a lull in content while I get back into the swing of things.
