By The Numbers: Week 8, 2018

It was the Packers’ bye week so I didn’t have a game to watch. Normally I might still watch a game or two over the weekend, but as it was my sister’s birthday I decided to spend some time with family instead. It’s my team’s week off, so I suppose it was my week off from football as well. I can say that it was nice that the Bears lost, but unfortunately the Vikings won, as did the Lions though they’re still a bit behind in the standings. Let’s see how I did with last week’s picks:

Broncos 27, Cardinals 14 – Correct
Chargers 24, Titans 13 – Correct
Buccs 21, Browns 20 – Correct
Patriots 30, Bears 17 – Correct
Bills 23, Colts 19
Jaguars 27, Texans 10
Eagles 30, Panthers 20
Lions 21, Dolphins 13 – Correct
Jets 28, Vikings 21
Saints 31, Ravens 27 – Correct
Redskins 26, Cowboys 20 – Correct
Rams 35, 49ers 20 – Correct
Chiefs 32, Bengals 24 – Correct
Falcons 28, Giants 14 – Correct

A much better week, scoring 10-4, bringing my season total to 61-55. If I can keep this up going forward, I should be able to maintain an average over .500. I feel like a broken record at this point with the whole .500 thing, so let’s just move onto next week’s picks, shall we?

Texans 20, Dolphins 13
Eagles 24, Jags 21
Ravens 28, Panthers 24
Bears 21, Jets 10
Bengals 30, Buccs 20
Seahawks 31, Lions 26
Chiefs 27, Broncos 21
Redskins 28, Giants 16
Steelers 32, Browns 14
Colts 30, Raiders 17
49ers 21, Cardinals 17
Packers 28, Rams 23
Saints 27, Vikings 26
Patriots 35, Bills 20

I almost have a hard time picking my own team over the Rams. I’m still doing it because we still have the greatest QB in football, but the Rams are most definitely a more complete team. I haven’t lost the faith though. We’ll see how it all plays out this weekend.
